Dr. John Koo is the first and only western-trained clinical psychologist in the world to also hold a Ph.D. in Chinese Medicine. He has degrees from the University of Hong Kong and Clayton University, as well as from the Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are only 11 universities in China which can grant Chinese medical degrees at the Ph.D. level, and just one of them has a specialty in Body-Mind Medicine; this is Hunan University.

Dr. Koo is well-known in Hong Kong as its premiere clinical psychologist. He has authored over 30 books, videos, cassettes and CDs. He has over 500 TV appearances and no less than 1,200 interviews from the printed media, including "Time" magazine. This is an unrivaled record for a professional, and accounts for the fact that his face is widely recognized by the Hong Kong public.

He has taught in the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong, Foshan University , Guangdong University of Technology and Zhongshan University. He has also served as Head of the Counseling Department of Shue Yan College in Hong Kong for 10 years.

Since 1986, Dr. Koo has been devoting his time exclusively to the development of Business Psychology. He has conducted training for both the mass market and multi-national companies. He has been also consultant to numerous corporations, including Rolls-Royce. The breadth and depth of his knowledge have won the highest respect from his individual and corporate clients.
